Tatiana McChesney

*Not accepting new clients at this moment*

Tatiana McChesney is originally from Brazil. She became interested in massage therapy after a trip to Thailand in 2005 where under the supervision of Master Mactherdchai of Chiang Mai and Jonas Westring she studied Thai Massage. In 2009 Tatiana became a licensed massage therapist focusing on Deep Tissue and Therapeutic work. In 2011 Tatiana became certified in Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®. In this technique, the therapist stands on your back – staying balanced by holding bars that are secured to the ceiling – and uses her heels, instep, and toes to apply deep and constant pressure to the back, gluts, hamstrings and calves. It is ideal for people with tight ligaments or those with tense shoulders and hips. Each session is designed based on how the client is feeling and what their needs are. A massage session with Tatiana can be a combination of Deep Tissue & Ashiatsu, or Deep Tissue only. Tatiana is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Rob Phipps

Rob practices an integrated, intuitive style of massage where various techniques are applied based on each client's particular needs in every session. Rather than relying on heavy pressure, Rob prefers a range of pressures from light to moderately deep, focusing on techniques that encourage the muscles to relax. In his 16 years of experience in the field, Rob has worked alongside physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, chiropractors, and acupuncturists. This diverse professional environment has enriched Rob's knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology, enhancing his massage practice. His expertise includes advanced training in massage techniques specifically tailored to alleviate neck pain and address dysfunctions related to whiplash.

Rob's practice is not just rooted in massage therapy, it is also deeply influenced by his personal journey. He was drawn to explore direct-path teachings of self-discovery and spiritual awakening which continue to shape every aspect of his life and work, bringing a unique depth to his approach to massage therapy and life in general.

Rob is passionate about connecting with his clients, not just through massage but also through meaningful conversation (though he also respects your need for quiet during your session if that best suits your needs) and this holistic approach to both body and mind helps him understand and address their needs more effectively.

Rob is available for appointments on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Moriah Barone

Moriah has been on a continuous and profound mind, body, spirit healing journey for several years. With an entirely holistic approach, she has overcome many autoimmune symptoms & nervous system dysregulations due to complex cumulative trauma. After years of self-work, she then began the path to help others by completing the therapeutic training program at SpaTech Institute (2020) with a focus on deep tissue, Swedish, myofascial & hot stone. She has also completed her ASHIATSU (barefoot therapy) training with the masters at DeepFeet Bar Therapy. Additionally, she has worked in various bodywork settings gaining a well-rounded approach to her work. She is passionate about mind, body spirit connection and believes that by unwinding a rigid body you unwind other aspects of your being. She is here to show you that self-care isn’t indulgent or luxurious but necessary. As with anyone, those that are committed to a healthy lifestyle find the most benefit from her care.

Sessions with Moriah can go many ways and for the most part is fully customizable. Don’t get overwhelmed about which modality to choose when booking. She will guide you on what she believes will be the most beneficial for your body the day of your session. Furthermore, you’re encouraged to take agency and tap into what you feel you need the most. No matter which routes you choose for a given session; relaxation is the foundation of her work. As with all bodywork there may be some contraindications which can be discussed on the day of your session. Moriah is available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Her offerings:

Ashiatsu (barefoot massage): This is a full body approach for the deepest deep tissue possible in the most approachable way. This technique minimizes post session soreness, can provide gentle skeletal adjustments, deep myofascial release, stretches tendons and ligaments, reduces chronic pain & stress with longer lasting results than more traditional massage modalities. This work may not always be called for due to current/previous injuries but almost everyone can receive this work at a given time. If you receive bodywork often, I highly recommend experiencing Ashiatsu at least once. I have found that many clients are astounded by this technique.

Deep tissue: Deep tissue isn’t about deep pressure but more about understanding muscle mechanics and navigating their location to promote release. This bodywork is methodical and focused. Once we’ve identified our target area, I may use techniques such as myofascial release, active/passive movements, and trigger point therapy. Rarely is a deep tissue session one-off; meaning it takes dedication to start seeing relief from issues that have become chronic. You may feel relief from one session, but muscles have memory, and they may need consistency in the beginning phases of care.

Nervous System Regulation/Swedish: Though this technique works with superficial muscles it is much more profound than most people realize. Emotions are stored in the body which can cause all sorts of unwanted symptoms/sensations. This technique provides deep relaxation promoting physical, mental, and emotional relief. As with all bodywork, with commitment, the benefits can echo through all aspects of our being. When our nervous system is regulated, we begin to see that others and ourselves show up differently in life- even strangers. It’s truly magical what can happen when we listen to our body and give it what it’s asking for; to be seen and heard. During these sessions I do my best to promote relaxation- if you must talk then do what you feel you need but I encourage you to drift away.

Hot Stone: Hot stone sessions are a full body approach and mimic Swedish massage as far as technique. The stones carry grounding earth energies that promote deeper muscle relief which can be helpful when a client is unable to experience deep tissue due to any pain/sensitivity. As well, stone massage is especially great during winter months when our muscles withstand extended contraction. There will be a combination of stones and hands on work during hot stone sessions.
